This life can be so painful. Why, Lord, why? At least we can trust that God is good, and that He knows the whole "picture" behind each and every painful event in this fallen world. Still, things like this are so very hard... but as Peter said to our Lord, "To whom else shall we go? You have the words of truth." Only God can comfort us with the ultimate comfort, for He alone is morally perfect and perfectly in control... that is my prayer for the Chapman family, that they would be comforted by those they love, and that they would have the ultimate healing comfort of God.
Actually, Peter's words that I mentioned are "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life." (John 6:68) May the Chapman family find hope, comfort, and healing in the Lord and in His people at this time, both in their local church and around the world... so many, many people have been deeply touched by Steven's songs (I am one of them).
