Hi there, I got your link through Amy's humble musing. I hate the dvd but I think the message is sad. That poor woman... Surley it's up to the pastor of that church to sort this problem out?
The lady who is speaking on the voicemail may not have come across as clearly as we would have liked, but the fact remains that most young worship leaders and young pastors totally dismiss feedback like this from the older people in our congregations.
Praise God if this lady still goes to your church. You still have a chance to repent and honor your elders! It is unloving to not hear their concerns and consider them prayerfully. Instead, most of our churches just want to focus on the 20 something young couples and forget about our elders, which is unbiblical and unloving. May we see God's heart toward this issue and repent of our shallow exuberance.
