Why Blog?

Is it arrogant on my part to assume that there are people out there that would want to read and think about what I have to say? Maybe. Could it be a grand waste of time publishing all these random thoughts to a potentially world wide audience? Maybe. Could it be that I am just longing for attention and people to affirm what I blieve to be true because I am insecure? Maybe. On the positive side, I think it is great way to document ones thoughts and to practice writing.

Lots of introspection as I move through my second day as a blogger. Would love any other bloggers thoughts here on this subject.

Ya - I've kind of wondered the same thing! (not about you personally) but for some blogs in general. Frankly for myself, I barely keep up with email, let alone send my views, thoughts, insights into cyberland on a continuous basis. I pretty much know that I'd start it, only to eventually stop due to lack of time/interest. (As have most of the people that I know that start blogs!) Or else get way to into it and get too absorbed and it would eat up my time. (gee, do I sound like a perfectionist or what?) But actually you've written a few of the more thought provoking things I've seen in awhile . . . (I especially liked your entry on worship disconnect - very true - I've totally been there.) So, ya, keep at it. I think ultimatly the blog becomes a valuable thing for the writer to expound if they value that as a part of their life as well as the relationships and shared ideas that potentially can come about as a part of it.

Z -- interesting commentary so far. Well done. I found your observation of the Matt Redmon song particularly enlightening (smile). May I use this platform to recommend the musical stylings of Sufjan Stevens. His latest record, Illinois, could be the most interesting thing I've heard since Wilco's last studio album. I will do my best to find that crazy Indian Imogen Heap.

One time I blogged with beast about cheeseburgers. After that I beat the biscuit.
