Is over-eating a sin?

Not sure how to answer that one, but Anthony Bradley has a great post dealing with the issue of obesity and weight loss.

Those who overeat and cannot resist eating more simply because it will taste sooo good show themselves to be prisoners to their carnal passions. That God made food taste so good is certainly a blessing, but we must be satisfied with the amount required to keep us healthy and no more. Just because God made sex good too doesn't mean there are aren't limits with regard to how we enjoy it. The same goes for food. This is all easy for me to say, because I don't battle with this particular sin, but nevertheless, though the struggle may be tough, our bodies are temples and made imago dei and thus must be maintained to the best of our ability. Overeating makes us unhealthy and physically ugly (our poor spouses).

Z, Given my former nature as a 370 pounder, you know I have thoughts regarding obesity and overeating. Yes, I believe it is a sin, but most of us don't put it on the same level as sexual sin...or murder.
