Driscoll Replies

There has been a bit of a firestorm lately surrounding some comments made by Mark Driscoll in response to the Ted Haggard confession. Today he posted a thank you to his recent critics. It's great to see evidence of grace in his life exhibited in the humility expressed in this post.

Way to go Z. Got the scoop on this one. Probably wise he didn't get into the issues of egalitarianism, which seemed to be the biggest beef from most of his critics.

In a way, I wish he did get into egalitarianism vs. complementarianism. Being a thick-headed anti-TV freak, I find no Scriptural arguments for egalitarianism holding merit. At any rate, Driscoll was wise in facing the real issue - humble acknowledgement of his lack of tongue temperance on these sex issues lately. Much respect to Driscoll who often says precisely what he thinks, then has the balls to acknowledge his rashness of tongue. I fall into the same camp and have sympathies for such a wild rider.
