Top Christian Records of 2006

In light of the closing comment on the previous post, I draw your attention to Christianity Today's list of the top "Christian" records of 2006. I am happy to report that I generally agree with most of their selections. There are some really good records represented in that list. What is unfortunate is that Christian radio is very slow to share our same sentiments.

Interesting to see Robert Randolph in the list. That CD has been popping up all over with favorable reviews in Christian circles. I think it was Worship Leader Magazine that gave that CD a very favorable review saying it was one of the best of the year.

Sadly, I own none of those records, though I plan to buy the Skillet "Comatose" album from the "one's that got away." Based on your rec, Zach, I also plan to get the Mute Math Cd at some point.

mute math doesn't market themselves as a christian band so how did that album make this list. i find that interesting. also, how come no one from the sixsteps crew made the list? i find that interesting too. all-in-all it's not a bad list. delirious? could have been #1 though.
