Politics

The main qualification for political office is the ability to foretell what is going to happen tomorrow, next week, next month, and next year - and to have the ability afterward to explain why it didn't happen

In other words, to qualify for political office, one must be God? :-) Seriously, though, humans can, to some extent, PREDICT the future, and to the extent that we have studied the past and can accurately discern what is happening in the present, we can sometimes be correct in our predictions. However, God alone truly knows and holds the future. This fact should lead us not to fatalism but rather, to humility in ourselves and confidence in Him. Now, if only we had more political leaders who displayed THOSE characteristics! If only I myself displayed MORE of both of those characteristics!
