Raymond Harley cheers on the Giants as about 200 homeless people and an equal number of volunteers enjoyed a Super Bowl Party Sunday evening at the Chapel by the Lake on Flagler Drive. Christ Fellowship Church, with permission from the Super Bowl committee in Arizona, hosted the party in the open-air chapel. In addition to a chicken dinner, representatives from the Visiting Nurses Association, the Stand Down House, and Abiding Hearts were on hand to offer medical care, counseling, and social services during the game. Harley says he has been homeless for 2-1/2 to 3 years. He was trying to "enjoy life a bit and have a good time" at the party. (Lannis Waters/The Palm Beach Post )John also told me that during commercials they had about 20 former homeless people give testimonies about how they got off the street and a gospel choir sang at halftime.
