Here in Scotland a gallon of fuel is roughly $10.66! Though we buy it in litres which makes it seems easier (£1.20 per litre, 4.5litres to a gallon)
In the UK, we pay somewhere over $8.... you have it easy!
A little over 6 bucks a gallon in Japan. By the way 4 liters equals 1.05 US gallons. (Maybe you are using Imperial gallons in your measurement.)Anyway, I didn't write to complain. We usually don't have as far to go as you do in America! Our cars are more efficient for the most part too.
