I hate to sound insensitive, but what is this Chapman funeral all about? Do you know these people, and if you do don't you think it is a little bit strange to be posting these things? Seems to be another example of everything being everyone's business (particularly if they are "famous") and youtube can help us to cry and feel sorry for our pretend friends. For some reason this all comes off as a little bit sick. TDE

I don't get why it's sick. Please elaborate.

youtubing someone else's grief? Again I ask do you know these people? Other than being tragic and somehow (if you watch this) somehow tittilating I have no idea what the purpose is with filming a funeral service and including 2-3 items on your blog on this. If you don't get why that might strike me as sick, then I will simply have to accept that difference. Again I ask what is the purpose? It is sensationalism and that strikes me as revolting in light of the obviously horrible situation this must be for the family. TDE

Wow - Perhaps you are right. Maybe it's a means to grieve with those who grieve? I think there might be some value in seeing Christians grieve as those who have hope. Might be a means to seeing Jesus in us for an onlooking world?

Tuck, why are you so much tougher on blogs than in person? You are scary.

I WILL NEVER SHUT UP!!!
I'm serious about the greiving thing, though. That's why I asked "Do you know them?" If not, then I don't get it, it becomes sensationalistic, and it is one thing to hear about the tragedy and certainly pray for them, but to watch their grief and to have various (2?3?) postings about it? That just seems strange.
In regard to my being scary...(smile), that is why I despise blobs so much. It is so much easier to write angry than to talk angry, which is why I make a point of not blogging...unless I see something like this (and you know me and love me and consider that it is just between us I find it kosher...and b/c I would actually say this stuff to you!).
Sorry to be so angry. My dander is up from a blog posting I read (and alright yes I posted to that one too, but JUST these two mind you) regarding bi-racial adoptions on Anthony B's blog. I'm geeked.
