A Nielsen Adoption - How You Can Help

To pay for our adoption we had to take out a significant interest free loan from The ABBA Fund. If you would be interested in helping us with this, here are three very easy ways.

1. Amazon.com has a very cool affiliate program where guys like me with blogs can earn money by people buying on Amazon through the links to them that I provide on this blog. I am trying to use all the money I generate from this program to support our adoption. So if you look on the side bar of my blog (RSS people, you'll have to click to my blog to see it) you'll see many book and music recommendations. If you click on any of those and buy it we'll get credit. Same goes for the music and books I recommend in individual posts. I also get the same type of credit from the iTunes music I recommend as well.

2. Here is the really cool thing about the Amazon program. You don't have to buy what I am advertising for me to get credit. All you have to do is click on any of those links in the side-bar, search Amazon through the search box I provide, or buy from the individual blog posts where I make recommendations. If you just use my blog as your front door to get to Amazon.com (just click on any of the links I provide or search in the Amazon search box on this blog), it doesn't matter if you buy what I am recommending or not, just shop for whatever you want and after that and I'll still get credit. Would you consider making this blog your front door for Amazon.com shopping? You can get way more than books and music there now so if you can remember to go to Amazon.com through this site it would bless us greatly towards the goal of adoption. (You might want to consider switching your music purchases from iTunes to AmazonMP3.com. Amazon is cheaper, has just as big of a selection, and they are all MP3s so you can play them on any MP3 player).

**Basically, all you need to do is take this link and make it your Amazon bookmark and that way you don't really have to remember to go to my blog every time. My code is in this link.**

3. I have created a way for you to give directly if you feel led. Just click on the PayPal link near the top of my sidebar. It's pretty easy from there. If everyone who reads this blog gave $10 we would be well on our way.

If anyone out there has any other crazy ideas we would love to hear from you.

Just by way of encouragement; my wife and I had two sons (now 24 and 21) when a girl we met while I was speaking at a camp called and told us she was pregnant at 13...one thing led to another prayerful thing and we adopted our daughter at birth. Because the birth-mom was a minor, and two states involved, it was over twenty grand. Six years ago a similar thing happened, we got our son at birth, but he was a blue-light special, maybe five grand.
We subsist solely on missionary support. God provided thru a wide variety of ways...
bottom line...if it is God's will, it is His bill.
I am praying for you guys...

Z,

I'll try to remember to use your blog as my portal to Amazon. I pretty much use Amazon to buy everything now.

Tim and I are currently pursuing an adoption through the foster system. We have requested an older sibling group...and though we get freaked out about being "instant parents," we know that God has given us this desire. So, we feel your pain, though in our case, not 30k worth.

Hi!
Just wanted to say that's awesome you are pursuing adoption! Christians, especially pro-lifers, should be first in line to welcome these little ones. I also wanted to say that my husband and i adopted twice, for a combined total of less than half of your estimate, so it certainally can be done. We felt called to adopt and then persued an infant adoption, but through God's perfect will and HIS timing, we adopted an 18 month old the first time and a year and a half later, a 20 month old. If you are open to it, God will provide...but, certainally, it doesn't always turn out the way we thought!!
Bessings to you and your family on this journey!
