Catholic bishops plan to forcefully challenge Obama's abortion views. Unlike so many evangelical leaders, the bishops understand this issue and its implications. If the Freedom of Choice Act goes through, hospitals that refuse to perform abortions may be closed down.

This stuff makes me want to become Catholic. They seem to be the one (clergy) group who isn't afraid to touch this issue and take him on directly. Evangelical pastors seem to be too afraid of losing members and making sure that "we're just having a conversation".

I used to be Catholic, so take it from me-- don't go there. They are right on the life issue but wrong on justification (which means wrong on the Gospel). At least some evangelical churches openly teach justification by faith alone (not nearly enough though).
