Greed Can Kill

Black Friday is right:

A stock clerk was trampled to death this morning by the crowd eager to get inside a Wal-Mart.

Wow... somewhere in that crowd of shoppers in a Walmart, there was a murderer (or a few of them, depending on how many people stepped on this man) who will likely never be caught by the police. It's almost surreal... and heart-sickeningly sad. I feel so bad for the family of the man who was killed. I say "killed" because it could have been avoided so easily.

I don't want to have a sinfully vengeful heart, but I am glad that vengeance belongs to the Lord. Each person's sin has either been punished at the Cross or will be punished in Hell. I do pray for the former, but that won't always be the case, to the glory of God in His justice.

I'm just not sure that we're collectively worth saving anymore.

I hate the way Christmas has become about stuff. It makes me sick.

Sife,

We are *not* worth saving, in a sense. In light of God's holiness and justice, we are very much unworthy to be saved! Hence, the wonder of His grace!
