JT has a good post dealing with the Newsweek article on a religious view of gay marriage. Check it out. Newsweek's Revisionist, Religious Case for Gay Marriage.

this is really good. does anyone know if Gagnon has any teaching on the debate between whether or not someone "chooses" to become homosexual vs. being born with a genetic disposition towards? I know he touches on it here in the video. I have a friend who's as strong of a committed Christian as you'll ever meet - 35 years worth. His brother however was gay and died of aids. My friend has always been somewhat on the fence over this whole issue as his brother maintained that his attraction towards men was engrained in him from as far back as he could remember and nothing that he ever "chose" as I know many homosexuals will state. He made the classic statement that he WISHED he could have chosen otherwise. But he would tell my friend (his brother) that for him, for his entire life, the idea of attraction to a woman was as repulsive to him as the idea of attraction to a man would have been for his brother. I haven't followed up in a long time with where medical/science thought and Christian thought is meeting on this. Any insight and if there's teaching somewhere from Gagnon on this? I'm sure he must have covered it.
