Saturday Phunny Time - The Best Music Video Ever

Want to see what happens when you have WAY too much money, watched every single fairy tale movie ever made and have a killer thin mustache? This.

Please watch this video
. I am begging you. It's so bad, it's good. VERY good.

Bonus points for anyone who can explain the plot of this video to me.

I also had a couple of questions.

1) Is that Matthew or Gunnar Nelson?
2) Is Randy Travis in that video?
3) Which was more rambling, the video or the song?

The plot....

There's this sword... and this chick with some bosoms... and they kiss and dance... and then there are some pirates.. and some dragons that like to fly in front of the moon because it looks cool.. and then the woman with bosoms again.. no, wait, that's a different woman... and then he shaves his mustache and plays a green guitar in the wind.. it grows back and he's a pirate again.. then there are three angel chicks who shoot lightning at his boat.. then he (LOL) swings off of the boat from some random rope hanging from the stormy sky... and then him and the bosom chick get married under fairy dust that explodes into fireworks. Then they kiss on the boat that has been evidently repaired and retrieved from the bottom of the ocean.

The end... no wait... then his own ghost appears and watches his wedding ship disappear under the fireworks as the music fades... His ghost shaved.

The end.

I think that's about as close as we'll get to an actual understanding of the plot. That was a pretty weird video.

I hope I don't ruin the plot. In the words of the author:

"My character is part of the witches kingdom, which is the second kingdom. I’m actually part of their army and an enforcer, a general, if you will. I meet that young lady Arra who is secretly being trained by the angels and they hand her a book. That book is the book of golden symbols which can only be understood by the spirit, by the living soul. She’s being trained secretly to be the queen of this realm, to overthrow the forces of darkness. My character actually meets her and falls in love with her and decides to leave the dark side, so he has an epiphany."

Can I have that five minutes back please?

A fun exercise is to go scene by scene and recognize which fairy tale/adventure cliches are being employed. Bonus points if you can match each shot to a corresponding one from an existing movie.

I got through about a minute and a half. The unintentional comedy could not keep me from bailing.

Ok so first off....why did you even find that? second of all; I'm left staring at the wall saying "Am I missing something?? Should I have gotten that?"

I have been reading your blog for months and only with this post have I felt a need to comment. I am somewhat baffled that you failed to grasp the subtle genius of the storyline in this video. The dragons...the sword...the thinly veiled sexual innuendo...the macho greatness of the Inigo Montoya guy. What don't you get? Love has enemies. That's the point.

I can't wait for his international tour....

Weirdest clip ever. I think he found all the actors from the unemployed Cinemax late night specials line. It seemed more like the promo video for a cheesy Cinemax movie than the music video for an actual song. Great find. This is like going into your grandmothers attic and finding something worth thousands of dollars. The internet is full of greatness like this, thanks for being willing to find it and share it with us!
