Why Credit Card Rewards Probably Are Not Worth It For You

"Dave joins Your World With Neil Cavuto to talk about credit card reward programs. It may sound good on paper, but Dave talks with Neil about why they are not worth the trouble. He gives plenty of numbers to support his reasoning."

i didn't listen to this, but I beg to differ. we're in NY on two free airline tickets from Capital One. we use that card for everything (groceries etc.) and pay it off every month and get great rewards.

Amy,

Why would you beg to differ if you don't even know what you are differing with?

Listen to it and then get back to me. I am open to that fact that it might work well for you, but my hunch is that you are in the small minority.
If you weren't you think credit card companies would continue to do it? They do it cause they make huge money off people who don't pay it off every month.

I did listen to it (finally:)

I know what he's saying, that MOST people will not be the ones that pay it off right away and therefore, not reap any benefits of credit cards.

I just know that for US it works out great. We're not in any credit card debt so we're not the ideal (for the credit card company) customer who carries a balance.
