BibleMap.org

This looks to be a very useful site for those who teach God's word: BibleMap.org.

Go and check it out for yourself
. Here is the description:
BibleMap.org is developed by the duo at He Lives Ministries (HeLives.com). The motivation for developing the site was simple, create a free Bible atlas which harnesses Google maps. We hope this site will be a blessing to you and possibly help make the living book of the Bible more alive in your life.
For example, this text:

Matthew 3:4-6 - Now John wore a garment of camel's hair and a leather belt around his waist, and his food was locusts and wild honey. 5 Then Jerusalem and all Judea and all the region about the Jordan were going out to him, 6 and they were baptized by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.

Looks like this:

The locations are color coded and if you click on the link it also gives you extra information to aid in your understanding. For me, if I can visualize actual distances in my mind it helps bring the text to life.

There is probably way more that this site can do, but I just found out about it so go and check it out for yourself. From what I have seen in about 5 minutes, it looks really useful.
