Yes, this is a classic. One of Trane's best as a leader before the classic quartet of the early to mid 1960s. "Blue Train" has a wonderful melody and all the musicians perform well, Trane towering over the rest, of course.
You are right to say that it would help us understand the language of jazz--sadly, a language lost on many, but one which would delight and bless many.
