Easter Song

The passion, the voice, the white-man afro. It doesn't get much better. Happy Easter!

Keith Green-- *love* that brother! He was about as "non-Reformed," theologically, as one can be, but his heart and passion for God and for the lost were second to none! Oh, that I were more like him in those ways!

I listened to Keith's song, "You Put Your Love In My Heart," just last night. If that isn't Reformed theology in a song (unwittingly), I've never heard it! :-) Happy Easter!

By the way, Zach, I just replied to your comment on Kevin DeYoung's post about Tony Jones's denial of penal substitutionary atonement. (Sorry for the convoluted phrasing there!)

That sentence should have read, "You Put *This* Love In My Heart." Still pretty Reformed though, when it comes to the actual lyrics! :-)

I bet I've listened to that song at least a dozen times today - though not by Keith Green. Keith's music greatly influenced me in my early walk with Christ (yes, I'm that old).

We heard Easter Song on the radio while driving to church this morning, and again on the way home, and I have the 2nd Chapter of Acts version on my iPod. I LOVE their tight harmony on this song in particular. There used to be a youtube video of 2nd Chapter of Acts singing Easter Song live (Annie Herring on piano) that I wanted to post today, but it has been removed. I had no idea that there was a video of Keith Green singing it himself. Thanks so much for posting it, Zach.
