It's perfectly fine on it's own as a logo - however - and maybe it's just me since we have "The Vine" here in Iowa City as a popular restaurant as you know, but I can't help think "Restaurant/Wine/Fine Dining/Nice Night Out" looking at it. Maybe it's just a little too "classy" looking? Needs a little more edginess somehow perhaps? (note the previous comments meant all and well - but "dignified" - "sharp" - ? Is that what you're going for? I'd want to add "dignified, sharp, edgy" to that.

I think it's great! Simple with organic shapes. I like it.
