A Tribute To My Wife

We have a house full of four sick kids right now (some sicker than others). H1N1... Seems like everyone is getting it these days. Facet-like snotty noses, constant coughing in the night, nasty diapers, high fevers, and plenty of whining.

I wanted to take a moment to publicly praise my wife for the way that she constantly models the Gospel through self-giving and preferential treatment in our home, and especially with our kids.

It's not a fun place at our house right now. I sit in my office and have nice lighting, good music, great books to study and friends right outside my door. She has a much tougher job and continues to do it, day in and day out, with joy and resolve.

I love this woman and continue to learn from her what is means to love.

Thanks so much babe. I guess I should have read your blog before I called you and said, "Come home as soon as you can!" :) I wish I could say that I really care with joy and resolve (and patience). God still has much to work on in me! I am praying that He blesses with perseverance and sacrificial love during this season! How long can H1N1 really last when it goes through 4 kids? I pray that I would remember not to take our health or the health of our kids for granted! I love you!

Truer words have not been spoken! She is definitely worth FAR more than rubies :) And bless you for telling her.
