Some Politicians Are Going To Get A Coat Hanger In The Mail

A bunch of pro-life Democrats are about to get a coat hanger in the mail. Read about it here.

I am sorry, but the logic just doesn't follow. Since a small minority of people will use whatever means necessary to kill their child, that means it should be legal across the board for everyone?

This argument assumes that the fetus is not human, thus should not be protected by law.

Consider this analogy of the toddler. Let's say that I wanted to kill my toddler by blowing him up with dynamite. C4 is pretty dangerous stuff. I could get hurt really bad in the process. Since that is case, I should seek to make this process legal and safe by getting a dynamite expert to do it for me. It will be safer for all involved. (Well, except for my poor kid who loses his life. It's not very safe for him.) Since, in my desperation, I want to get rid of this crazy two-year-old and might use some heavy explosives to do it, we should make it easier for all parents to dispose of an annoying little one shouldn't we?

Huh? Seems pretty out there right? But that is exactly what the folks sending coat hangers are advocating for.

If it won't work for the toddler it shouldn't work for the unborn baby. If you disagree, what is the difference between the two?

Is it is the irony of ironies that these people sending coat hangers to congressmen do so in the name of safety for women, all the while how many women (female babies) will die from "safe" and fully legal abortions? Is this safety for all women or just those who are in a position of power over those women that are weaker, quieter, and smaller?

Again, we assume wrongly that the fetus is not human. Tragic mistake.
