What was I thinking back then? I actually met them at a local record store. Their hair was so high that I felt like a hobbit. They were seated and I was standing. I'll vote no for the comeback tour, but truth be told, I remember most of their lyrics!
All of you people slamming Stryper probably also make fun of Vanilla Ice's Ice Ice Baby or Milli Vanilli's Blame It On the Rain but you know back in the day, y'all were getting down to it! It was the 80s, y'all. We didn't know any better. The yellow and black attack melted faces then and are still melting faces today. Long live, Stryper!
For the record... *I* thought they were hot - Robert Sweet made me swoon (yes, I still remember their names). Hotness is exactly what you want in a Christian band, no? I mean, if you're going to lust over someone in spandex it should be a Christian in spandex, right?
Like I said, embarrassed for the teenager I was. Ugh.
Now Petra with Greg X. Volz was a good band... Really!
DUDE!!!!! Are yo praying that they DO a comeback tour or just praying for their tour to go well, because you missed them here in Albuquerque at Sunshine Theater back in November: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2QwFmO6la0 ---byrd

Oh my. I am so embarrassed for the teenager I was.
I will be specifically praying the opposite outcome as you. Wow.
Z - - You're on your own on this one.
Please know I am being quite sarcastic. :)

did they actually think that looked good at the time?
Likewise, sarcasm is one of my love languages.
I was in Madison last week and thought of you. It was a bit brisk, but otherwise all set for a church plant.
our worship team is considering a new look. based on Stryper, of course.

I am praying they will not. They confused me then. But no longer. I want no part of their spandex world.
Okay, now I read the other comments and feel much better. Thanks for the sarcasm.
