I've been mostly barefoot for 2 months now, wearing vibram five fingers to work and in training for running a half marathon next month. In 20 years as a physician I've seen fads come and go but I think this and similar research is legit--- what a crazy idea, that God didn't design our feet to be in $100 Nikes? :)
The guy in the video is also one of the researchers mentioned in Born to Run, a book Challies reviewed last month, & the research he mentions was partially paid for by Vibram, whose barefoot footwear are getting a near cult following now.

Anyone know if overpronation (ankles tend to roll inward) is an issue with barefoot running? I was curious if they tested that...
