Last night I asked one simple question that opened the doorway to closer community with a few people in our church. All I asked was, “What’s your faith story?” and the Holy Spirit led us into joyful humility and awe at the redeeming work of Christ on our behalf. The Role of Remembrance
Tonight I have the honor being able to preach for a group of college students at the University of New Mexico. I'll be talking about the huge role of remembrance in the Christian life. I thought this post from Doug Wolter, "Building Community by Sharing Our Stories" was a great tie into what I'll be teaching tonight. He writes:

glad you had this opportunity ... let me know how it went. i'm thankful our stories crossed paths in college ... those were sweet times, brother. the older i get the more thankful i am. and it's crazy to think about where God placed all of us UNI grads!
