"It Likens Abortion to Killing"

One church's crosses to memorialize the victims of abortion have caused some controversy in Virginia.  Read the story here. The shocking part is the response (I guess I probably shouldn't be so shocked) from the local Planned Parenthood leader.  From the story:
But David Nova, the vice president for Planned Parenthood in Roanoke, said that to him the 729 crosses represent a political message, not one of redemption.

"The display is a mock cemetery," he said. "It likens abortions to killing. In many respects, it is mean-spirited and not redemptive."
If it is not killing, then what is it?  What is it that resides in the uterus of the mother?  The identity issue is really not that hard to figure out.  As Greg Koukl often reminds us, dogs have puppies, cats have kittens, and humans have...
