I hate to jump on a story of personal tragedy and healing, but my main criticism of this song is that it leaves the meaning of love completely open to the listener. He talks about how love is a word that has lost meaning, yet he gives no meaning to the word.
I believe that any good treatment of love (song, sermon, etc) tells us about why, how, and to what end God loves us.
Why - Because He made us and places value on us. How - Primarily through the death and resurrection of Christ and the grace He has shown us. To what end - Our salvation, sanctification, and glorification, all for His glory.
It's sad that a song born out of such deep loss and faith has so little to say to those who don't know the story behind it.

Thanks for sharing Z. PS. I'm digging the new header and look of the site.
