Pastoral Encouragement From My Son

Me:  So Taylor, what did you think of my message this morning?

Taylor (7 years old):  I thought it was boring.

Me:  Why did you think it was boring?

Taylor:  Because it was just talking.

Me:  Would it be better if next time I used a huge samurai sword to slice up watermelons during my message?

Taylor:  Yes!!!

Someone's going to read that idea and go "Yeah!"
Offer to do it while someone jumps over your head on a dirt-bike.

The whole slicing up the watermelons bit might fit well with Spurgeon's advice, namely that "there should be at least a part of every sermon and service that will suit the little ones." :)
