Shawnda Kovacs:
Have you seen the latest UNICEF orphan #'s?:
India at 25M, China 17M, Nigeria 9.7M, Ethiopia 5M, Bangladesh 5M, DRC 4.5M, Indonesia 4.4M, Russia 4M, Pakistan 3.9M, Tanzania 2.6M.
Did you notice the unreached peoples in the top 10? The enemy is prowling around, desiring to distract us from keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the One who desires that all should be saved (1 Timothy 2:4), the One who longs to see the solitary placed in a family (Psalm 68:6), the only One where 'there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12
The Lord is at work, giving His people an understanding that WE were once orphaned, and He chose us, adopted us, and made us His own.
Together for Adoption is a great opportunity to pray and seek and discern where the Lord may be asking you to live out His heart for the orphan and the widow! Even if you weren't called to adopt, there are MANY other ways to get involved in caring for the orphan and widow! Come and see and hear and DO and be blessed far more than you can imagine!

over half of the orphans are in India and China.
Do you know which organizations are best in helping with adoption in those countries, specifically?
I would look into All God's Children International. Not sure if they do China though.
If All God's Children International doesn't do China, I think Christian World Adoption does.
