My son (8) recently saved up his money over a long period of time so he could purchase a bearded dragon. These are great reptiles for kids. Chilled out (except in the clip below), no teeth, and easy to take care of. Since they are desert dwelling creatures from Australia, we thought it would be apt to name her, "Sandy". She has been a welcome addition to our family. Lately, I thought it would be cool to catch her deft ninja cricket assassin skills on video. She has some serious tongue action here. Gene Simmons would be proud.
