Ron Paul on the TSA

Kind of gets to the heart of the matter, eh?
Ron Paul Introduces HR 6416: The American Traveler Dignity Act
"Imagine if the political elites in our country were forced to endure the same conditions at the airport as business travelers, families, senior citizens, and the rest of us. Perhaps this problem could be quickly resolved if every cabinet secretary, every member of Congress, and every department head in the Obama administration were forced to submit to the same degrading screening process as the people who pay their salaries."

really? "heart of the matter"?
80% of the general population is perfectly fine with new screening. Lets continue to kill innocent civilians overseas for the sake of supposedly fighting terrorism but heaven forbid a random person here and there gets a wand in between their legs here in America

Wow J. 80% of the general public? Where did you get that statistic? What kills me is people like you are fine just burying your head in the sand and walk around like nothing is wrong. Here is the problem sir, as a father I tell my daughter that no one should EVER touch you in your private parts, but according to you an airport security guard is exempt?

It's more than a wand my friend, it's a full out grope! Do you want that? Perhaps it's ok that our civil liberties continue to get violated on the name of national security. This will not stop some nut job to get on a plane with a bomb shoved up his rectum, what then? Do we then allow for a full cavity search?

As for being overseas killing people, I happen to agree that we should bring our troops home and end all of the perpetual wars. It's our foreign policy that is making us less safe!

Since we refuse to protect our borders, and refuse to accept the fact that some people might be more interested in causing harm than others, we have to suspect all Americans and subject them to this kind of abuse.

Hey Paul thanks for the comments.
Is your daughter younger than 12, cause i think she would be exempt from those types of screens if so. If not, do you think that she is capable of understanding the situation and that the FEMALE security guard does in fact fall under unique situation? Do you allow her doctor to touch her private parts?
Could you define what civil liberty is being violated by being searched?
Listen, I don't even know if i agree with all this, but the screaming and hollering over a VERY small % of people who this kind of thing would happen to seems a bit over the top.
