The Lord says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught. -Isaiah 29:13. These people sing songs that make themselves feel all warm and fuzzy and holy and Christian, and they call this time of singing songs “worship.” Singing a few songs and calling that worship is completely inadequate a true act of worship- Paul urges us “brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.” -Romans 12:1 “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.” Revelation 4:11 You are worthy, Oh Lord to receive more just a song from our lips. Even Jesus says, “a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.” -John 4:23. Apparently that time has not come yet, as we Church Leaders are teaching our people that worship is about singing songs to get into the right mood to sit down and listen to a man say “believe in the name of Jesus and you will be saved.” ?Worship Leaders,? Is singing a few songs with the right attitude really all there is to worshiping the Lord God of all creation, really? Really?
