While there could certainly be a debate about government funding for planned parenthood, this video was both gross and an affront to effective arguments.
I'm much more inclined to listen to a debate when it includes logical, reasonable, and thought-out arguments with supporting evidence.
Arguments should develop ideas, have reliable premises, be concrete, and build on substance- not overtone. Arguments by analogy (i.e. bunnies in blenders are like abortions) require relevantly similar examples.
Logic Fail. Plus, I thought for a minute I was actually going to see a bunny get blenderized, which is just gross.
Reducing debates to this level of argument-fail makes it seem like there is no actual reasoning behind the conclusion: "stop federal funding of PP." Which, I'm sure, there probably is. So don't resort to this stuff.
It's like taking relationship advice from Charlie Sheen- he might be right, but who wants to listen to him given his record?

I agree.. I don't think this ad is very good. Instead of equivocating and conflating babies with foetuses, we ought to be about showing why both foetuses and babies are human beings with a right to life. I think to gloss over the difference only harms the argument.
