This past weekend I had the privilege to preach the final sermon in our series on The Story of God: the storyline of scripture from Genesis to Revelation.
You can check it out here if you want. It was an encouraging message to preach as this is where our hope squarely lies as Christians. God will have his people, in his place, with his presence, for all eternity.

Preaching on "the end" is a great thing to do.
Our pastor mentions our mortality (now and then) and how the world and our lives are not progressing, but are being brought to an end. This is the ultimate expression of the law. This fact paints us into the corner and takes away all our pretentions of progress.
Then (of course) the preacher announces what God has done about it. How He loves and forgives us and will make us new, one Day.
That's the law/gospel paradigm.
