I'd like to know how he convinces the milk cows to let him sleep until 9 a.m. :)
Also, having recently moved out to lovely land, I'll add my two cents worth that I think he over-romanticizes his setting--he says it's "his own little kingdom" and "his refuge," and talks as if nothing can go wrong on his little space. There's going to be stuff going wrong anywhere, and human sinfulness anywhere. If go off homesteading hoping to escape all that, they'll get disappointed and burn out quickly.
Still, I'm with him in wanting to live at peace with creation as much as possible--it's a good challenge for the rest of us not using pit toilets and windmills to figure out ways it works in our life! Thanks for sharing.
Nice little video. The only thing missing that would make this complete would be a family. I would find this extremely lonely. Granted, there is probably much more to his story but minus the sound of family and not just birds it looses something important.
