Interesting that half the stuff they did had to do with saturation/brightness/etc. They could have saved a lot of money on graphics personnel if they had just hired a camera crew who had a clue what they were doing. Throw in a makeup crew (while still adding fakeness), and they could have cut out another 30% of their graphics time.

I'm pretty sure most of that is make-up and hair styling, and the "tools" are just a cute way way of poking fun.

Of course, make-up and hair styling are just old ways of being fake. Hamlet said, "God has given you one face and you make yourselves another." Of course he was either crazy or pretending to be so at the time.
