I have been talking with some folks online lately who have either completely left the "institutional church" or are really struggling with it and I think this post deals with what we have been talking about in an indirect way.

Z- Interesting post indeed. I agree with "Dr. K" in his to that post that the sect/network parallel might break down at a point b/c sects are intra-denominational while networks are inter-denominational. Maybe viewing networks as the next stage is parachurch is best? Also, the staying power of some of the new emerging networks (like Emergent)is questionable unless they do "normalize and institutionalize", but their very anti-authoritarian & anti-institutional core seems to stand against the very movement that could bring longevity. Interesting stuff tho.
