I'm not sure I totally believe that for everyone. I think any church no matter how it's run can fall prey to thinking of other church's as the "competition." The church can certainly be run with very Godly business principles, and, if applied to the right areas of the church, that can be a good thing, compared to how shoddy some churches are run. However how the church views and treats other churches is largely a matter of the heart and will be a trickle down effect of how leadership models those relationships with other churches.

Yeah, I think you are right... anyone can fall into a competitive mindset, but it just seems more spring loaded into a business mindset.
