"...when I was a child one of my greatest fears was that heaven would be boring. There would be no surprises and no growth in knowledge with accompanying increase of joy."I have often felt like this when contemplating heaven. I greatly appreciate John Piper's response.

Hey, Piper is basically saying here what Ryan (main preaching elder at DSC) said in the sermon today-- and I think that Ryan said these things just as well, if not better (partially because Ryan's sermon was longer than Piper's commentary, and Ryan had more time to make very good Biblical observations)! :-)
I know that I must have found the thought of Heaven boring at some time in my life as a Christian... but I don't remember when! It has been a long time.
Being with God in a way that we are not now (at least not exactly), and knowing Him more and more, better and better, throughout eternity-- which is forever!!!!-- how could these things ever be boring to me?? Just thinking of it all makes me want to erupt into praise of God-- which is a foretaste of Heaven here and now!!
