This is my alma mater, University of Northern Iowa. They are a smaller D-1 team but recently have gotten really good at hoops. They have been in the tournament quite a bit in in recent years but can't quite seem to get out of the first round which is understandable because they are more of a mid-major program. Not this year. I could watch this over and over:
Twenty years ago I was in 9th grade when UNI went to the tournament and were a huge underdog as a 14 seed to the 3 seed Missouri. Kind of eerie how these two huge tournament wins, twenty years apart, are VERY similar.

Awww ... Yeah! Go Panthers! They could shock the world in their next game against Kansas! Tough, tough draw, though.
Eerily similar indeed. For some strange reason though, this Mizzou alum and lifelong fan found yesterday's game a whole lot more enjoyable!
Congrats on the win over kansas. That more than makes up for 1990 in my book.
