Ambition Without Roots

Dr. Zack Eswine:
There once was a man who cared so much about trees that he traveled constantly on their behalf. While he educated everywhere and tended personally to infected arbors far and wide, a storm came through the man’s hometown and blew down the pine and oak in his own neighborhood. Their local roots, it turns out, had hollowed over time, weakened with rot and given way easily to the wind. Trees fell in his own yard. No one was there to tend them.
